  3. Three Things To Consider Before Buying In Bulk

woman-holding-bulk-toilet-paper-280X280-9Do you love a great deal? When you find an item on sale, do you stock up immediately? You may want to carefully consider your storage options before buying in bulk. Is it worth it to trip over stacks of paper towels to save a few dollars? It can save money to purchase items in bulk, but before you do, consider the following:

Do you have the space to store it? If you don’t have an extra pantry, or room in the basement for storing all the extras, it may not be worth the clutter that it creates in your home. Think about your storage space and what can realistically fit before stocking up.

Was it worth the effort? If you have to buy a membership to shop and then drive across town to get there, it may not be worth your time and effort to save a few dollars. Do the math and make sure the trip is worth the extra time and expense of getting there.

Will you use it in time? Bulk purchases are great for a large family or serving a crowd, but if you aren’t going to use it quickly, items may go bad before you get to them. Before purchasing that great deal, make sure you’ll use it up before the expiration.

Buying in bulk can save money, but it’s important to consider the down side as well. Don’t let your space get overwhelmed just because you couldn’t pass up a deal. Your peace of mind matters and a simplified/organized space is worth holding back for.
