Organize Today In Case Of A Road Emergency

Emergency SignWith all the extreme weather all over the news, it’s important to consider your own possible emergency situation. Heavy snow and cold weather can make getting stuck or stranded a reality. Consider keeping an emergency preparedness kit in your car. Here are some suggestions for items to consider including:

Phone Charger:  Always keep a phone charger in your car. You never know when your phone may run out of battery. The extreme cold can also run down cell batteries more quickly.

Jumper Cables: Not only for your own battery, but if you see someone else in need, they can come in handy.

Kitty Litter: A bag of kitty litter will come in handy if you get stuck in the snow. Sprinkle some around the tires to give them a little traction.
Food/Water: A few bottles of water and some packaged energy or granola bars will do the trick.

Blanket: Keep warm a little longer with a throw in the back seat. Also good to keep on hand for sleepy kids on longer trips.

First Aid Kit: You can purchase a small kit to keep in the glove compartment in case of an emergency any time of the year.

Organization is about planning ahead for future chaos. It’s good to think ahead not only at home, but in your car as well!
