Friday Favorite: Double Shoe Storage with Shoe Stax

  3. Friday Favorite: Double Shoe Storage with Shoe Stax

If your shoe storage space is busting at the seems and you can’t seem to part with a single pair of beloved shoes, here is a solution. Shoe Stax are a terrific little gadget that sit inside the shoe allowing them to stack on top of each other. We’ve tried different types of shoe stackers and many of them are clunky and hard to work with. These simple wire inserts work great on many different types of shoes, but I believe they work best with pumps. Here is an image of a pretty row of pumps we organized using the Shoe Stax. Instead of having two shoes next to each other on the shelf, there’s just one shoe with the other stacked on top and behind, saving lots of space on the shelf and also making use of other, under-utilized space. It’s a great storage solution to the finite amount of shelf space that competes with the infinite amount of shoes we like to collect :-)

Of course, the first step is always to eliminate any shoes you haven’t worn in the last season. Sometimes, when it comes to pumps you need to evaluate not on the frequency of use, but on the outfit you pair them with. Some special occasion shoes need to stick around as long as you keep the coordinating dress. For infrequent wear, you may want to consider storing them in labeled plastic shoe boxes for safe-keeping.

If you’re doing any spring cleaning and plan to organize your closet soon, schedule an appointment with your Chaos To Order expert organizer. They’ll get the job done quickly, efficiently and of course, every detail will be optimally organized!
